Premiering in the spring of 2018, Alice needed branding that alluded to its Alice in Wonderland roots. More importantly, however, Rachel (writer and director) emphasized that the play was more than just a retelling of the classic tale. This design's purpose was to provoke a deeper and more relatable sense of dreaminess, melancholia, and curiosity.
